Downtown Dallas Holiday Pop Up Helps Local Entrepreneurs, Artists Start their Own Businesses

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF)- Unbranded 2019 hosted by Downtown Dallas, Inc. (DDI) opens December 5th for the fifth year. Shalissa Perry with DDI said it’s an innovative Downtown holiday pop-up shop. “Unbranded provides free retail space to a curated group of entrepreneurs, designers, and artists…we have about 15 vendors come in each week for the month of December,” she said.

Perry said vendors sell items like candles, clothes, stocking stuffers and more all in one location with more than a dozen different brands each week.

She said Unbranded has helped entrepreneurs and local businesses grow. ”Almost every single year we have a vendor tell us a success story that they’ve taken their experience at Unbranded and opened up a brick and mortar store, we are hoping to have more of that this year as well,” she said. “It’s been a thrill to watch vendors graduate from Unbranded participants to full-scale retailers and brands in Dallas and beyond.”

Unbranded 2019 is again located in the historic Dallas Power & Light Building at 1508 Commerce Street.  It will be open for business Thursdays through Saturdays from December 5th – 21st, 12:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

DDI is partnering with the future tenant of the space, Pegasus City Brewery, to provide complimentary beer and a sneak peek at what the space will be in 2020.

Each week, there will be rotating vendors, a complimentary gift-wrapping lounge, coffee from Flying Horse Cafe, beer from Pegasus City Brewery, guest bartenders and DJs, crafty workshops, and more.  There will even be a dedicated Unbranded shuttle providing free rides to and from Unbranded within the Downtown area. All weekly events and details will be posted at weareunbranded.com.
