Dallas Area Native Dies in Air Force “Incident” Near Florida

ASSOCIATED PRESS – A Dallas Air Force Sgt. from the Metroplex area is now reported missing after an incident over the Gulf of Mexico near Florida.   The search for Condiff continues.  The U S Air Force says 29 year old Staff Sgt. Cole Condiff had what it calls an “unplanned parachute departure” from a C-130 aircraft.

Condiff is a native of Dallas and graduated from Sachse High school.  He’s survived by his wife and two daughters, and other family members.

Military officials say among other endeavors, Condiff was a Special Tactics combat controller at Florida’s Hurlburt Field with the 23rd Special Tactics Squadron, 24th Special Operations Wing, Air Force Special Operations Command,
