FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF) – Funeral services are set for the woman killed by a fort worth police officer as the city copes with her death.
Aaron Dean is out of jail on bond for the Murder of Atatiana Jefferson. Body cam footage shows him shooting through a window at her family’s house killing her.
Attorney Lee Merritt represents Jefferson’s family and said Wednesday that it will take more than a Murder charge for justice to be served.
“The Grand Jury will make the determination whether or not to move forward with Murder charges or to move forward with a lesser charge,” said Merritt. “We’ve got to keep our foot on the gas when it comes to putting pressure on the city.”
Merritt is calling for reform within the Fort Worth Police Department.
