Crane wreckage removed from Dallas apartment complex

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The wreckage of a crane that fell on an Old East Dallas apartment complex June 9 has finally been removed from the building. The management of Elan City Lights apartments made the announcement Friday. The work was slowed by official investigations, and what the crane operator described as the need to prioritize safety. A resident of the Elan City Lights was killed when the crane fell through the walls of her apartment. Five other residents were injured. Some residents have not yet been able to retrieve whatever belongings they had to leave behind, and it is not yet clear when they will be able to do so.
