Dallas Police Officer Hit by DART Train in Downtown Dallas

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – A Dallas Police Officer was hospitalized Tuesday after being hit by a DART train, according to the Dallas Police Department.

“At approximately 12:40 p.m., DART Police responded to a report of a northbound Green Line light-rail vehicle making contact with an adult male as it was pulling into the Pearl/Arts District Station,” a DART Spokesman said in a statement. “The individual has been taken to Baylor Hospital. DART Police are investigating.”

According to DPD, the officer was attending a nearby conference at the time of the incident. The officer is a 14-year veteran of the department and is in stable condition.
