so could the tragedy have been prevented?

Mike Mata, the president of the Dallas Police Officers Association… says yes.

“The legal system has to work with us not against us. We cannot protect the citizens by ourselves I the court house does not do their part.”

Moore is charged with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault causing brain injury.

In total Moore has been convicted on 5 DWI charges ..  all of them are drug related.   Authorities say he had

taken drugs before getting behind the wheel on Tuesday night..

An alcohol monitoring device and an ignition interlock device had been removed from his vehicle when his most recent probation sentence on July 10, according to a court order signed by State District Judge Dominique Collins.
