Governor Abbott: Texas could face flooding from Tropical Storm Barry

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF)- Tropical Storm Barry is expected to make landfall off the Central Louisiana coast Saturday morning. Up to 25 inches of rain is expected, with major flooding risks. Texas Governor Greg Abbott says Texas will not be immune from Barry. He says up to 10 inches of rain may fall in Southeast Texas and in the Houston area, causing possible flooding. Regions to the north and east of Houston may receive heavy rainfall as well. The tropical storm is expected to become a Category One Hurricane before it makes landfall.
