Man Dies At Dallas City Hall Reflecting Pool, According to Police

DALLAS (AP) – Police say a man who rode a scooter to Dallas City Hall has died after jumping into the exterior reflecting pool and not resurfacing.

Police Sgt. Warren Mitchell says the incident happened late Friday night. Emergency personnel recovered the body. Police did not release a possible cause of death.

The Dallas County Institute of Forensic Sciences says autopsy results were pending Sunday. Investigators did not immediately release the name of the man.

The plaza at Dallas City Hall includes a 180-foot (54.86-meter) diameter hip-deep reflecting pool and fountain, with two red sculptures.
