DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF)- Dallas-based Neiman Marcus announces a new business venture as a significant step in its transformation plan. Neiman Marcus becomes the first luxury retailer to invest in a business that sells pre-owned items.
It’s called Fashionphile and Neiman Marcus Senior Vice President Liz Allison said it’s expected to grow to $23 billion by 2023. “Primarily their business is online and people sell what they bought several years ago or brand new sometimes and take to Fashionphile,” Allison said.
You can drop off your items to Neiman Marcus and they will give it to Fashionphile. Then, customers will be able to not only receive an immediate quote for their items from Fashionphile, but also be able to buy something from Neiman Marcus with that credit. “With our help customers can more easily sell their stuff to Fashionphile and then turn around and be able to invest in brand new merchandise from Neiman Marcus,” Allison said.
Allison said they’re trying to make your shopping experience more enjoyable by finding new ways for people to easily participate in a pre-owned market.

Neiman Marcus will not be selling pre owned items in stores, this is just a place for people to sell the items to Fashionphile with their help. Pre-owned merchandise will continue to be sold exclusively through fashionphile.com
