‘Texas Baptist Men’ Deploys to East Texas After Tornado

(WBAP/KLIF) – Volunteers from North Texas are helping the East Texas town’s ravaged by an EF-3 tornado Saturday get back on their feet.

The organization, Texas Baptist Men, deployed volunteers to Alto and Franklin Sunday to provide disaster relief.

“Units that are deployed include chainsaw, feeding, shower, temporary roof, electrical support, and chaplains,” said TBM Spokesman Rand Jenkins. “Our early assessments are a great deal of damaged roofs, fallen trees, and hurting people.”

Jenkins said the organization’s response is designed to meet all physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
