AMARILLO – Associated Press – A 57 year old Amarillo police captain has been arrested and charged on allegations he shared nude photos of a woman without her permission. Amarillo police Captain Jason Zang was arrested Friday on a charge of unlawful disclosure or promotion of intimate visual material. The felony charge carries a sentence of up to two years.
Chief Ed Drain says the woman sent Zang naked photos while they were in a relationship. He says an investigation found Zang later sent them to other people.
Zang, brieefly held in the Potter County Jail, bailed out the same day as arrest on a $7,500 bond.
Zang has been with the Amarillo city police since 1990. He’s on administrative leave while the department conducts an internal investigation.
