FORT WORTH – WBAP/KLIF – North Texas Humane Society is teaming up with the City of Fort Worth to offer more than 500 adoptable pets at a special Will Rogers Coliseum event Saturday and Sunday.
Running from 10 am to 6 pm both days, the event will feature dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and more will all be offered at a low adoption price of $10. The idea of the lower adoption fees is to clear the shelters of severe overcrowding.
Shelter crowding usually eases a little after puppy and kitten season; this year the partners putting on this event report the numbers are not easing.
Admission to the event is free.
