Houston (WBAP/KLIF) – A Houston man is facing criminal charges six months after his 6 year old daughter apparently killed her one year old brother while they waited for their father to come out of a store. Adrian Middleton has been charged with child abandonment. He told Houston Police he left his children in the car for a few minutes while he shopped at a thrift store. When he returned he found the boy unresponsive with a seat belt wrapped around his neck, and his daughter crying saying she’d “done something bad.” Security video inside the thrift store reportedly shows Middleton inside, without checking on his children, for almost two hours. Middleton’s daughter is now in the custody of her grandmother.
