PLANO (WBAP/KLIF)- Lime, a transportation rental company, is bringing it’s electric scooter services to Plano after city council passed an ordinance to allow them. Nick Barber Lime regional operations manager said safety is a big concern and high priority- so Lime is launching a rider safety initiative “Respect the Ride”. This safety campaign will teach people the proper ways and rules for riding. He said Lime will be sending thousands of helmets directly to customers to make sure rides are safe. Scooters can go up to 15 mph they’re $1 to start and $0.15 per minute.
