Southwest Airlines Face Congressional Grilling on Fatal Engine Explosion

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Southwest Airlines will be answering questions today about an engine failure on one it’s jets last April that resulted in a passengers death.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB)  is holding an investigative hearing to gather information on the engine explosion. They will focus on engine fan blade design and inspection methods and procedures.

Witnesses from Boeing, the FAA and southwest airlines are expected to testify.
