North Texas Moves Closer to All Time Rain Record for October

DFW International Airport – (WBAP/KLIF) – National Weather Service indicates North Texas has a chance of beating it’s all time rainfall record during the month of October, last set back in 1981.  Through midnight, Saturday October 20, measurements at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport reached 12.3 inches of rain.  In 1981, the all time record of a total of 14.18 inches of rain was set.

More rain is expected in North Texas this week, starting Tuesday night through  at least Wednesday, though heavy downpours like we have experienced in the last couple of weeks are not expected this week.
