Fort Worth ISD Discusses Possible Anthem Guidelines For Students Who Want to Kneel

Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – A controversial conversation over national anthem protests is in the spotlight at Fort Worth ISD.

District spokesman Clint Bond tells WFAA-TV that the district is considering guidelines as they face the possibility of protests among high school football players.

The aim is to strike a balance between voicing opinions, but understanding that there may be those who oppose.

Bond told the station, “Kids see it on television, but those are professionals. They are employees of a company, of an organization,” said Bond. “These are not employees. These are students who have a right to say some things.”
