Dallas Officials Consider Adding New Entrance to Love Field to Ease Congestion

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – As passenger traffic continues to grow at Dallas Love Field, city officials are looking at ways to ease traffic congestion.

Cars pile in on the south side of the airport off Mockingbird Lane and Cedar Springs, and a new north side entrance is among solutions.

Dallas Director of Aviation Mark Duebner told a City Council committee this week. “A north entry has probably the greatest promise” since much of the love traffic is coming from the north.”

Discussions come amid enormous passenger growth at the airport, from 4.2 million in 2013, to 7.9 million in 2017.

The growth is result of an end to flight restrictions at Love Field in 2014.
