Three Employees Shot During Fort Worth Bank Robbery

Update: Police have cleared a home on Blackmore Avenue and have detained three people for questioning. It’s not known if the people are connected to the robbery and shooting at Veritex bank. The three victims are hospitalized but expected to survive.

Update: 3 workers at the Veritex Bank off Camp Bowie are in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being shot during a bank robbery.  Police have evacuated a neighborhood in and around Blackmore Avenue and are waiting for warrants to enter a home.  The FBI is taking over the investigation.

 

FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) — Fort Worth Police are on the scene of a bank robbery where shots have reportedly been fired.

As of 10:05 am, the scene is currently active at the Veritex Bank off Camp Bowie and Merrick Street.

Medstar reports three women have been shot and are suffering from serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
