The accused accomplice in a notorious Texas murder pleads guilty

Alpine (WBAP/KLIF) – The west Texas man accused of being involved in the 2016 murder of college student Zuzu Verk has pleaded guilty to the charge. The Brewster County Sheriff’s office says 26 year old entered a nolo contendere plea to a charge of helping hide Verk’s body. That plea actually means “no contest,” but is the same as “guilty” in a court of law. He will be sentenced after Verk’s then-boyfriend, Robert Fabian, is tried for first degree murder. Verk’s remains were discovered a little more than a year ago in a shallow grave outside the town of Alpine where she was attending Sul Ross State University.
