Technology Powers New North Texas Drivers License Office

CARROLLTON (WBAP/KLIF) –  A North Texas drivers license office is offering a way for people to get in line before they arrive.

The new Drivers License Center off of HWY 121 in Carrollton is now open and allows people getting or renewing their license to hold their spot in line with their cell phone or online.

“The goal is to expedite the process and get customers in and out as quickly and efficiently as possible,” DPS State Trooper Lonny Haschel said.

The new building opened Monday and occupies more than 24,000 square feet. It has designated lanes for commercial driver license skill testing. The old Carrollton office is closed.
